How long is the PEP valid for?
The PEP is valid for 3 years and non-renewable. If you wish to continue working in Singapore after your PEP expires, you must transition to an Employment Pass or another work visa.

What happens if I leave my job while holding a PEP?
PEP holders can stay in Singapore for up to 6 months without employment. However, you must secure new employment within this period to remain compliant.

Can PEP holders start their own business in Singapore?
PEP holders cannot register a business or engage in entrepreneurial activities directly. If you wish to start a business, you will need to transition to an EntrePass or a dependent business structure.

Can I bring my family with me under the PEP?
Yes! You can apply for a Dependant’s Pass (DP) for your legally married spouse & unmarried children under 21. Parents & common-law spouses may be eligible for the Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP).

What happens if I earn below the required salary after getting my PEP?
To maintain the PEP, you must earn a minimum annual salary of S$144,000 (S$12,000/month on average). Failure to meet this requirement could lead to the revocation of your pass.
